removal of deceased on title


What is the name of your state? washington
we purchased property together, she passed away, title company and county do not know how to remove her name from title. ther was no probate or disputing heirs. How can I remove name of deceased.

how is title held on the property? Get out the deed and LOOK, don't guess.

If it was joint tenancy, typically all you need to do is go down to the courthouse with the death certificate. Usually they can help you do that and no legal assistance is necessary.

If it's tenants in common, then you will have to have the estate probated (although small estates might have an express procedure in your area). You didn't indicate the relationship between you and the co-owner.
