Remove the house from my name or make them responsible for the mortgage paymentsundefinedWhat is the name of your state? Florida I purchased a home one year ago with this individual I knew for over a year. We closed on the house not able to afford a lawyer. What I was unaware of was the bank stated all of these facts I did not know - making up false bank accounts under my name, stating i was married. Being a first time home buyer, I signed these contracts. Predicament: Only my name appears on the mortgage, both of our names appear on the deed. My questions are: 1. The second individual, having bad credit, is not able to buy the home from me; however, is financially responsible for the home as all of their investments went into the purchase <They placed the down payment> and are making the mortgage payments to date; should they decide to stop, my credit will be affected. Is their any way to contact the bank to discuss these issues and have the mortgage transferred as all of the payments are in the second individuals checks? 2. Come to find out the title company branch manager i dealt with, was fired for misrepresentation of several other clients. Can I be held legal for the documents signed by me even if this has happened all along to other individuals? Can I prove the title company deceived me? 3. Are there any legal documents or legal papers that I can make or have drawn up reflecting that this person is responsible for payment of the mortgage? What would the documents need to include? 4. Knowing that this individual will be relucctant to sign the deed over to me <as I have tried before>, can I force sale of the house should a payment not be made on the mortgage? Anyone with any information, I would be more than grateful. I have searched high and low for help and keep running into holes.... Needing Help in FL Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond to this inquiry. 4. |
