My son moved into an apartment with 2 other guys only temporarily, he was never on the lease. He decided to move out and the roomate has had the locks changed and will not let my son get his personal belongings. He states my son owes him money. We have sent certified letters asking for an invoice of what my son owes and what it is for. That was 2 weeks ago, we have heard nothing. What legal recourse do I have to get my son's personal things out of the apartment? Quite a few of the items actually belong to me. I appreciate any assistance at all. Thanks!

Stop thinking like a lawyer and think like a person. Call and discuss it. Have your son call. You possibly could call the police and charge him with theft, if you really want to escalate matters.
