| Sale of a House
i live in massapequa, ny. i am now divorced, but in the 1960's my then husband, and i purchased a home. within that same year my husband and i divorced, and he left the state. with a struggle, i have made all mortgage and tax payments by myself this entire time. during our divorce the house that we purchased together was not included in the divorce proceedings. i am giving thought to selling my home in the near future. in doing so, i have often wondered if i would be required to pay my ex-husband anything from the sale. from the time that he left the state, over 30 years ago, i have not heard from him, and am unsure if he is still living. |
