Seperation Of Conjoined, Front Steps And Porch Areas...

What is the name of your state? ILLINOIS

In Chicago, Illinois, there is a property 2-flat brick building. which is connected to another 2-flat brick building. They both share the same concrete steps and front porch area.

This property owner wants their shared concrete steps seperated into, each owners single front porch. Because the property being connected, to this property owner's their property, value has went down. Others property owners, have done this in the past, it is a block of, connected greystone properties.

Please map out the route and contacts, this property owner, must take to achieve, getting their single front porch entrance. [The shared cost, paperwork involved and where to obtain city and county forms, regarding this matter. What is this property owner's rights in this matter? How can they get this done smoothly? How to legally get, the other owner to comply, if they are not willing, to seperate the properties?]

The building has been sold to a bank. How can they find who owns it and get them to cooperate? [The property owner is a Senior Citizen]
