Sexual assault in college park apartments

What is the name of your state? Texas

Ok, here's an unusual case.
I've been living in the college park - the landings in Austin TX for the last six months. I rented one bedroom in a four bedrooms apartments and shared this apartment with another roommate who rented one bedroom too. Here's that kind of college community in wich you pay and rent only one bedroom you have little power about deciding if someone else is going to take any of the other vacant bedrooms in the apartment or not.

About ten days ago a new roommate took one of the bedrooms. He was friendly and seemed to be a good match as a new roommate. However, last Wednesday night, in the middle of a conversation like many others we had had till that point in time, he approach, touched me between the legs and tried to kiss me. I just went away and didn't let him kiss me. He didn't insisted or chaesd me so I didn't look for the police. The other roommate wasn't in the apartment in that time.

As I said, I decided not to call police but later I decided that I should do something about it and I did look for the office for advice. I proposed that I would ask my roommate to move out from the apartment and asked the office to waive a relocation fee, which would discourage him to move out due to his current financial situation, as he had told me once.

Well, I did ask him to leave and he agreed but when he looked for the office they told him about the $200,00 fee and he told me then it wouldn't be possible for him to leave the apartment not even nearly as soon as I expected. I also ran into the office one more time to ask them to present a payment plan or something to help with the unbearable situation that has been stablished since that occurence. The manager was very strict in her denial. She was at least insensible to the problem and offered me to pay for the fee myself.

By the way, they put people who never met to live together and in such a case they can't even waive a fee just to make things better? I really want to know if I can sue them for that. If I aslo have to sue my roommate for sexual assault or whatever that's called, I'll do it.

Thank you,

Marcos
