What is the name of your state? Florida
I am a shared owner of a single lot in florida with 4 other people. 3 are immediate family members, mother, brother, and sister. The 4th is a lady, who has been deceased since 1997. Her husband died in 1995. My mother has been paying the real estate taxes since she and deceased inherited the property some 20 years ago from my mother's grandmother.
Since the deceased and her husband are no longer alive we would like to claim her 1/5th of the property so we can take action with the property without any legal problems. I beleive she had a son but we have no way of contacting him and the current understanding is that there was no will transferring the property to him.
How do we go about making a claim on her portion? Are there specialists in this sort of thing?
