Short Sell

Florida
We Live In Florida But The House Is In Denver, Co. Our House Has Been On The Market For Two Years. We Can No Longer Pay The Mortgage. Our Real Estate Broker Suggested We Do A Short Sell. What Is A Short Sell? Will It Hurt Our Credit? Should We Do It?
Our Broker Also Suggested We Get Legal Advice Before Signing The Form He Sent. Please Help.

Yes, it will affect your credit, because, even after you sell it for an amount that is "short" of your mortgage payment, you will still be liable for the balance.
