Split/Divide Land Parcel

Myself and a sibling own a 60 acre (approx.) parcel. We would like to split it 40/20

What is the process for splitting a land parcel? What legal documents are needed?

Your county govt center recorders desk should be able to tell you what you will need beside a survey ???

What do you need?
In most places (disregarding whether the area must approve the split and whether there are any considerations of the municipality to consider) all you need are a couple deeds

What you want are a surveyor and a lawyer. Untrained people often screw up
Lot description or at least make them so ill defined they can cause problems in the future.
