Hi, I recently purchased a home where the sellers checked "NO" on the disclosure statement regarding whether sellers knew if the property is built on fill, and if there are any existing sink holes. Based on the sellers disclosure I did not do a soils test prior to purchasing the property. After I moved in to the house, the neighbors told me that the houses on the culdesac where my property is located are built on fill, and there is a sink hole at the curb of my property, adjacent to the neighbors. The neighbors filled the sink hole about two years ago, (prior to my purchase) and asked the previous owners (who sold property to me) to help pay for (previous owners declined to help pay).

is this considered fraud? What is the statute of limitations on my filing suit against the sellers?
