Question

Swapping deeds on 2 houses

What is the name of your state? Texas

What would be involved if two separate parties want to make an even swap, (or even + cash) of their houses? Both houses are paid off and without liens. How much paperwork is involved? Would inspections be needed for title transfer? Both houses have septic systems that are working, but would not pass the new building codes.

Thanks in advance,

Bentrod

***Hire a realtor or an attorney to do the paperwork for you to make sure you don't get into trouble. I always advise my clients to have a full home inspection, so "yes" its a good idea to have that done before closing. Your Realtor or Attorney will be able to advise you correctly and help protect yourselves.***
