Tax assessment mistake

Hi Guys

in 2002 Allegheny County in PA went through a major home value assessment for taxing purposes. In most cases they increased the values of properties. However, in my case they made a mistake, and listed my property as "vacant land" thus dropping it's value severely... This is not true, since this is my primary residence... :-)

This is nice because I'm paying very low taxes, but I know that I should do something about it... If I don't tell them they'll catch up to me at some point even though it was their mistake... What should I do?

Any advice?

Let them know so your rate can be adjusted to reflect the true basis.
