we are having trouble getting action from our past lender about the return of escrow money that was paid on taxes. the company has our money and all we get is invalid answers and no payout. we are thinking of taking action on them but need to know if we have any legal ground. we refinanced 8/30, thus closing this account, they said they received the tax payment back from the township in early october. they said payment was to follow. it is now december and no payment. any help is appreciated.
thank-you

Send the president of the lending company a certified RRR letter demanding your money be returned by a specified date (say 30 days) Attach backup proof of closing etc. Copy the BBB, State Office of the Attorney General etc.
