What is the name of your state? Oregon

Do you automatically hold title to property in the state of oregon "Tenancy by the Entirety" or do you have to have a deed that is specifically worded this way?

TIA

**A: the deed must be worded as such because only married indivduals are allowed to hold title this way.

Thanks for responding HomeGuru.

We assumed the note from sellor's who held the property as husband and wife, and our paperwork says we hold the property as husband and wife, but I don't see anything on our paper work saying "Tenancy in Commom", or by the Entirety". We are very close to paying our mortage off and was wondering if we need to have another document made up for recording with the county records, or is this automatically recognized by Oregon when husband and wife hold title to property.

Again many thanks.

**A: your deed must state the type of tenancy. If not then have an attorney do a correction deed.
