Termite ProblemsWhat is the name of your state? LA I recently purchased a home in April this year. The previous owners admitted to termite damage but said that it was repaired. During dry wall tearing out due to mold/mildew from Katrina, there was discovered serious structural damage from termites. What recourse do I have to recover costs from repairing the damage? I have a home warranty that is good for one year. Will that cover termite damage? Should I contact the realtor who sold me the house and consult them? Should I consult an attorney? Thanks for your help Ken Last edited by chebbygodby; 10-23-2005 at 11:13 AM. Reason: Wanted to add to the request |

For example: 1) Was there a pre-sale termite inspection performed?? If so, what did the report say? 2) Was this termite damage clear and viewable?? If not, the former owner may not have been aware of it. Failing to report unknown or hidden damage is NOT the fault of the seller. Quote:

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
