i purchased a home six months ago. 2 months after closing we were contacted by the township because we were not issued a certificate of occupancy at closing. the certificate was not issued because there was work that was to be done to the house before a certificate would be issued. the sellers knew about the township inspection, new the findings, and did not tell us the outcome of the inspection. we now have to pay to get repairs done that should have been done prior to closing. what legally can i do? I live in pennsylvania. what rights do i have since these things were not told to us prior to closing.
