We live in New Hampshire and I was wondering is it legal for a nasty neighbor to pick through your trash and remove items?

imediately stop placing any unshredded items that can be used to steal identity or used to gain credit . credit card apps utility bills any thing with your SSn on it or your date of birth , all though some people think they can find usables in other folks trash like alum cans , I dont know what youre states laws or citys laws are about scavagers . Identity theft is a serious problem in the USA and by just tossing out certain things you risk making it easy for some one to do this and cause major damage to your credit , shredders are cheap . your other option is to keep a box where you dump your shredded documents and take that box to a paper recycler that will accept it and dispose of it your self
