Mississippi-does a property owner have to do any sort of legal form etc. to stop trespassing on their land or can word of mouth suffice. Also if their is a party fence between two properties and a gate in the fence, do we have the right to put a lock on the gate to keep the trespasser out? In this case the person whom we told not to enter our property rents pasture space from the landowner and runs cattle on it. Do we contact the person who rents the pasture or the property owner?
