There is a trust deed recorded on my property from October 1983. The bank that was the Trustee went out of business in 1996. The loan was never repaid in full, no default notices filed, no lis pendens, nothing. It has just sat there all these years collecting dust.

Now I'm trying to refinance but this encumbrance is sitting there and no one to pay it to. The Title company told me there is a lien filed by this bank also from 1983, but I could find no record of it at the Recorder's Office, just the Trust Deed. Is there anything that can be done?
