Vacation Rental - TX

I'm investigating all of the laws applicable to renting my personal vacation properties. I am having difficulty finding any information on the Internet (i.e, Texas Property Code, the county's Web site for possible permit requirements, and so on), as to what laws and regulations apply to vacation rentals. The language in the Texas Property Code doesn't appear to specify a difference between short-term (vacation) rentals and dwellings, as it pertains to duties and rights (other than general duties and rights). (I am paraphrasing my point. I've read all applicable chapters of the TPC.)

I have looked everywhere for specifics as they would relate to renting personal property for vacation purposes, but cannot find the actual LAW--only opinions and experiences, but no actual law from which I can help ensure I'm both abiding by all applicable laws, and am adequately protecting myself and my renters. I've gone to the OAG site in Texas, and found "tenants" rights (all of which I am following); however, those, too, seem to apply to long-term, apartment-type rental situations.

I am currently renting two properties, and have not had any trouble, but certainly do not want to operate in a manner which is inconsistent with the law. So, my question is: where on the planet Earth are the laws about renting personal property for vacation use.

Thanks, in advance for taking the time to read and respond.
