I live in Texas and my neighbor entered into voluntary foreclosure of his mobile home back in October of last year. He wants to sell the land to me, but the finance company who owns the mortgage hasn't moved the home or given him any notification of when it will be moved. Can I purchase the land with the mobile home on it? If so, what type of notification must I give in terms of method and time for the holder of the mortgage to remove the home from my property? Will it be considered in default and become my property after a certain # of days? Can I have it moved at their expense if they refuse to move it?
