Will I lose my land????

What is the name of your state? NY
Hi. I have just given my nice neighbor permission to move his fence over 10 feet onto my property so that he will have more room for his kids to play. But I just thought of a couple of things:
1. If a certain amount of time elapses before the fence is removed again....will he automatically become the owner of MY land???? In the back of my mind I remember something someone said once...like if someone maintains a property piece for so long it becomes thier property.....????
2. Will I be liable if his kids get hurt on my property which will be inside HIS moved fence ???

I am older and just trying to be generous and a good neighbor but don,t want to get hurt in the long view scheme of things. Many, many thanks ahead of time for anyone who can shed some light on this for me. God Bless.

**A: contact your insurance agent and have an attorney draft an encroachment agreement.

Hi Home GURU....what is an enroachment agreement? Would I lose my land if i didn,t have one????
