My grandmother left her property to my brother and I.

My brother is purchasing my portion of the property by paying 10% down and the balance due November 1st.

I would like to draw up a Promissory Note Secured by Deed of Trust because that is what I am familiar with living in California. However, Wyoming law is "Mortgage" state....so does the document need to be different than what I am proposing because the property is in Wyoming? Does it need to be called something different?

thank you for your help.

KSWhat is the name of your state?
