2 hour parking limit

Hey everyone. I just had one question. Heres what happened. I live in los angeles, California, and i was visiting Berkeley, California. I had my car parked in a 2 hour limit parking spot for over 4 hours. The same officer gave me a total of 2 of the same tickets for the 2 two hour parking limit that i broke. I was parked from about 1:00 to 5:00. I recieved one from him at 3 and then another one at 5. Is that legit?

Yes if you were parked there for 4 hours, you certainly violated the 2 hr parking twice.
