Well, since you insist.

This was in yesterday's paper:

B'klyn subway scare

Derailment forces 62 onto tracks

BY KERRY BURKE and CARRIE MELAGO
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

The Franklin Ave. shuttle in Brooklyn is evacuated after it derailed yesterday afternoon. Scores of terrified straphangers were forced to trudge along subway tracks in Brooklyn yesterday after a shuttle train derailed.

The Franklin Ave. shuttle, a two-car train, was evacuated by firefighters shortly after itjumped off the tracks at 3:14 p.m. just south of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

The 62 passengers escaped serious injury, but several riders were thrown to the floor when the conductorless train suddenly derailed.

"Everyone fell out of their seats. The children were crying," said Luann Colon, 14, of Brooklyn, who is seven months pregnant. "It was horrible."
Pay careful attention to the last quoted line there. Somehow, it seems that that little gem excaped attention of the reporting press. A rather sad commentary on the current state of society here, don't you think?
