| airport fine but no ticket issued What is the name of your state? MI
I was asked on Jan 1 by an airport officer to move my car as I waited to pick up my girlfriend and her mother, who I could see through the window. I complied, driving around the airport twice before my girlfriend was at the curb. No ticket was issued, but I got a late fee notice a month later. I wrote the district court and got a reply today saying the late fee was waived but I still have to pay the ticket. My question:
If I was complied with the officer's request, and was not given a ticket, and the ticket was never sent over the mail (ceritified or not), does it invalidate the ticket? Is this a case I could win? It would be my word against the officer's, it seems, but I have no record, a good job, a PhD, and I'm presentable. For what that's all worth. It just doesn't seem fair.
Thank you. |
