What is the name of your state (Frederick County, Maryland)? I am aggravated by the thoughtless folks who park their vehicles across the sidewalk when their driveway is full. I have seen folks who are teaching ther kids to ride a bike, when the kid approaches their own car they assist the kid around it to keep them safe, but the car stays parked blocking the sidewalk. This is inconsiderate of the little kids on bikes, the mom's with their strollers, the elderly, I guess I can stop there. Anyway, there's my rant. So getting to remedies. Is there a law in Frederick County, Maryland that would allow our sheriffs office to issue them a reminder to be considerate?

Being inconsiderate isn't a crime. It is illegal under Maryland law to park on sidewalks. 21-1003(c)

Gee, one of my pet peeves also.

Based on the lack of specifics in the statute, I would say that parking across a sidewalk in the manner you describe is illegal.
