Question

Car title transfer Question

What is the name of your state?NC
I just paid off my car and Ford motor company sent me the title. My car has NC plates that are good til July 2005. I need to get the title transferred to my name. However, I am getting ready to move to GA. Should I get the title transferred in NC before I move or should I wait until I move to GA. If I wait until I get to GA, do I have to get GA plates first?

The simple answer: Call the DMV in GA and see what their reply is.

That was my first inclination

one of the few things DMV's in all states have in common: they're line is always busy
