Definition of Standing

What is the name of your state? New York

I received a ticket for a No Standing violation in NYC.

I stopped at the curb to let my son out and opened the door to let him get his suitcases out. I was stopped for less than a minute, never left the car, when a meter maid started writing a ticket. Am I guilty?

The following definition is from a previous thread:

Standing: The stopping of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in receiving or discharging passengers.

The link is no longer valid. Does anyone have an updated link? What is the name of your state?

No, the info needed is the actual statute NUMBER listed on your citation.
