Delayed Police Report / Non-Moving Parking ViolationWhat is the name of your state? California Hello All, On Saturday this mother's day weekend I went to vist my mother that lives in an apratment complex. I could not find any open parking spaces so I parked in front of a garbage dumpster. Now I thought there was enough room for cars on the other side of the parking lot for other cars to get out and I was wrong. When I left my mothers house an angry lady told me she was 45 minutes late to work and I was blocking her car, so I promplty apoligized to the lady and moved my vechile. While I was moving my vechile the lady told me that she was going to file a police report on Monday. Now I know that this is a non-moving violation; however, I don't want this lady to make up so police report because she is angry. So what should I do? Should I call the police department and asked if a report has been filled? Should I just not be so worried? I don't know what to do. The lady and I traded no information. Thanks Bluelogic |

| I seriously doubt that the police are going to waste time for what is likely NOT a police matter. At worst, you committed an infraction ... though it is very likely that due to the location (on private property within the complex) the police have no authority to even issue a parking cite for the situation. I wouldn't worry about it. - Carl
