Double Parking while Moving

What is the name of your state? NY

I received a double parking ticket on a Sunday at 9 AM while loading my car to move. I had the hazard lights on and had the rear seats folded down with items in my car. I was away from my car for maybe 3 minutes when I noticed a parking ticket on my windshield and no police officer anywhere in sight.

Can I fight this ticket?

Sure you can, but you'd be wasting your time.

I really hope that car wasn't moving while you were loading it.

Hazard lights usually mean that the car is not working. Your car was working fine, so it means nothing. I once read that the hazard lights help the police officers identify illegally parked cars.

That is standing and illegal.

Now you are considered parked.

Are you suggesting that someone other than an officer wrote the ticket?

You won't win. You can get it reduced to $90.
