Expired Registration

What is the name of your state? NJ

My friend was driving my car (which has been in a garage for 4 mos.) He just took it out and got a ticket for an expired registration. Do I need to go to court to fight it, does he, who is responsible. If I get a new registration (it expired in March, does that take care of the ticket) or do I/he still have to pay it.

You can give it a shot but I doubt they will drop it in NJ unless you get a very lenient judge/DA.

He is responsible for paying the ticket not you. But if you want to be a good friend I would pay him back the money.
