Failure To Change Address Ticket Dallas County Texas

dallas County ,texas

Facts : ( 1 ) I Was Stopped By The Police For An Inspection Sticker Violation. He Asked For My Driver's License And Registration And Insurance. He Went To His Car Came Back And Asked Me Where Am I Coming From. I Told Him. He Asked Me Where Is My Address. I Told Him It Is On My Driver's License. He Told Me They Had Another Address Listed On Their Files For Me And They Could Not Have Had It If I Had Not Given It To Them. I Told Him The Address On My License Is My Address. He Cited Me For Failure To Change The Address On My Driver's License.

Other Facts : ( 1 ) The Address He Is Attributing To Me Is What They Took Off Of A Friend's Car. I Was Driving The Car When They Stopped Me For Failing To Signal A Right Lane Change For Which I Was Found Not Guilty By A Jury.the Friend Lives In That Address.
What Are My Legal Defenses To This Citation?

Thank You For Any Assistance Given.

In Addition : Is There Any Legal Defence To The Lack Of Insppection Sticker ? The Fact Is I Was Taking The Vehicle To Store It Because It Was Involved In A Litigation And Did Not Want To Do Anything With It Until The Litigation Is Settled.
