Fire Lane on College CampusWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arkansas I go to school in Arkansas and got a ticket for parking in a fire lane. I parked the car, with people inside, ran inside, ran back to the car and campus safety gave me a ticket. I know why I got the ticket, and that he was in the right in giving it to me, but I have a few questions. How far away from the curb do I have to be to be out of the fire lane? What defines a fire lane? I know I was in the wrong, but does anyone have any ideas, I can appeal to a traffic court of students? Thanks. |

| The fact that people were in the car is irrelevant. If you know you were wrong, then just accept the responsibility and pay the fine. How much could it possibly be anyway? All in all, it seems like fighting this would be a big waste of time since you have no apparent chance of winning. |
