I recently received a ticket for driving with expired diver license, more than 4 months. Florida statute 322.035 (expired for than 4 months). Officer indicated on the ticket that apperance in court is not required, and that this is not a moving violation. As a non-moving violation Im assuming costs is $85.50 as per booklet.

Anyway, here is the real question. I went to clerk office to pay ticket today, and they told me that I must go to court. Although the ticket says apperance in court is not required. Whats wrong?? Did they made a mistake? Do I have to go to court? Do I have to show them a valid driver license? What happens if Im unable to do so?

Please help.
