fleeing from parking ticketWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York I recently was parked an expired meter in brooklyn, NY and had to leave the scene before i received the ticket. My question is: are there any negative repercussions due to the fact that i fled? or will i receive the ticket in the mail and be required to simply pay the assigned fine? i am not questioning whether the ticket is valid... it is! thank you |

| Did you call the issuing agency and ask them? Seems like that would be the most reliable source for the information you need. In my town, which is not in your state, we mail the ticket, but it has to be paid within two weeks or we issue a summons. |

| i dont think there are additional fines for driving away,, in NYC they have handheld scanners which are used to scan some barcode on your car(i believe registration sticker?) it is so fast that soem lazy traffic agents will just roll up in their car next to you and pointthe device and in less than a few seconds you are ticketed( and i believe on your way to being in the system) you can run but you cant hide |
