Forgotten Parking Ticket

What is the name of your state? Alabama

About six months ago, I found a parking ticket on my car. The fine was $5.00. I forgot about it. I just thought about it today while signing paperwork for a background check at a job I am applying for. My questions are: What are the consequences for forgetting this ticket? Is my liscense suspended? Will there be other consequences? Will this effect my background check?

Possibly. More likely it's your vehicle registration would get suspended.

Will there be other consequences?

If your registration is suspended, you won't be able to renew it. If you're stopped for a traffic violation, you could get an additional ticket for driving the vehicle. Some jurisdictions tow and/or impound it.

Will this effect my background check?

It could show irresponsibility
