Just received the ticket 21655.5(b), driving on a bus lane on EB I80, after the Bay bridge. GPS told me to exit right, I exited a little early and got into bus lane. A mistake, but I did it.
I was told that this is not a moving violation, but now I'm facing $450+ ticket which is too much for an honest mistake ( it was night, I didn't notice Bus lane signs)
Any suggestions what to do? I'm feeling that not guilty will not work here, because I did enter that bus lane. I'm looking for ways to reduce the fine with no points on the record.
