Hawaii Maryland parking ticket reciprocity

I received a really bogus parking ticket while vacationing in Hawaii.
I live in Maryland. Can the Hawaiian officials pursue it in Maryland if I refuse to pay it.

Most states cooperate these days and computers make it easy.
Hawaii and Maryland are both members of the interstate compact.
Pay the ticket.

Was the parking ticket issued to a rental car? If it was, the rental agency will be notified about the unpaid ticket. Being the registered owner of the vehicle, they will be obligated to pay it. You will then find a surprise on your next credit card statement, the rental company will charge you the cost of the ticket plus an administrative fee (about $50 or so). It's all in your rental agreement.
