Help with Parking Citation

What is the name of your state? California

Well, I got a mail form the parking violation bureau of LA that I had failed to respond to a parking violation of 70$ over a month ago even though I have never recieved that ticket. Since I don't remember what happened that day, I decided to just pay for it online. However, after I entered the citation number in, I found out that I had another citation for 70$ issued just 3 days ago. This time, I clearly remembered what I did that day and nothing involved parking my car in any public places. I checked the location at which the ticket was issued, though it was only 2-3 zipcodes away from my dorms, was an area I wold never have any reason to visit. The citation said that it was for "STD/SDP PM." Also, usually when I get a parking ticket, its around 40-50$. however, these that I never actually receive a paper ticket for are both 70$. Any comments or suggestions? something just feels weird about these latest citation. Thanks

When you called the parking violation bureau, what did they say?

Does anyone else use your vehicle?

If you do not have a copy of the tickets request a description of the vehicle to see if it matches yours.

I got a notification of an unpaid parking ticket from Chicago once, but my sales call records showed I was in Ohio that day. I wrote them telling them that and a description of my vehicle (make, body style, and color), telling them if that did not match, it was not my vehicle. Never heard from them again.
