I got ticketed for having my car registered & inshured in the wrong state when I live

What is the name of your state? New Jersey
In two staes....P.A & N.J.
I spend an equal amount of time in both states but have pay bills in NJ because my boyfriend has everything in my name due to the fact that its cheaper.I do go back & forth & I did say to the ignorant anal retentive police officer that I did live in NJ but he didn't wanna hear any more after that.I have since gone to court & am taking it to trial because the police officer is buddy buddy with the prosecutor who didn't wanna hear it either.I live with my gram in PA & I have to bring proof in that I live in PA.I am thinking a notarized letter from the landlord & my grandmother might be all I can get besides the insurance bill.If they investigate & find out I have bills in NJ does that mean that I have to have my car registered here? I don't know what they can do to me,or what the regulations are as far as that goes?
What do you guys think?Am I going down or what? What should I bring in to prove that I should have my car registered in PA?

If you work, what address is on your W-2 and/or pre-addressed labels for your state and federal income tax forms, your checks, your credit cards, etc., something unrelated to moter vehicles?

Cool

This cop had at least 20 people in the court room that day.
He didn't even ask any questions when he pulled us over...he just said....How long have you lived in NJ?at least 3 times in a row "SO" I told him what he wanted to hear so we could get to where we need to be.He already thought he knew the answers & didn't wanna hear anything else.If your thinking that the people in the position of police officers, & prosecutors, & Judges don't feel that they are above the law then you are plainly in denial.I am actually living the right way and as my delivery man gets robbed on my front porch for the pizza in his hands there is some cop pulling people over for the simplest things.I'm sorry but it is the truth.

I have no intention of helping someone who shows such an ignorant, low-class contempt for police officers. It almost never fails. If someone complains about the police being bullies, you can almost bet it's someone who's trying to weasel out of taking responsibility for breaking the law.

And it's not "wouldn't of" it's "wouldn't have", genius.

Thank you
I'll bring in my bank statements and stuff.
You are the only one who even tried to help me.

Ok, this boils down to the following question:

Did you lie to the officer about living in NJ, or are you going to lie to the court?

I lied to the Police officer
I just wanted to make him happy so he would get to writing the ticket so we could go.
but all the bills in my boyfriends apartment(NJ) are in my name.
I really thought I could fix it in court but when I got there and realized how close this officer was with everyone it backfired on me

yet the officer is the one that is ignorant and everything that happened to you after you lied and tried to get away with something was ... and then you wonder why no one wants to even try and help you?
