I parked next to red curb without knowing

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Hi,
I parked my car on the street last night, it was really dark and there's no
street light, so I am not aware of the fact that I parked next to red curb.
and I got a ticket this morning... my question is, is it possible to contest this
ticket? or there's no way for them to cancel my ticket? Thanks.

Pleading ignorance isn't the way to go. Pay the fine ~ you WERE illegally parked.

Of course there is. Simply show up in court on the date/time ordered and present your defense. Of course, not seeing the curb is NOT a defense.

Yep. Ask the court to schedule you in the kangaroo court.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Sorry, due to budget constraints, the kangaroos were laid off on Tuesday.

You must have been driving one of those cars with no headlights!

I don't like the tone, but the point is good. That is, assuming it wasn't parallel parking into a small red zone between legally parked cars and his (?) color vision isn't terrible. Even if it were such unusual circumstances, I doubt one could get out of it.

Ummm... if he's part of some regulatory agency, is he getting furloughed? If I have to take a day off without pay, then everyone else should too.
