Local Ordinance Parking Ticket

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Just got a $15 tic for parking within 25' of an intersection. This is a local borough ordinance violation. I checked the PA code and, unless I missed it, there is no such state law. Chap 33, Sec 3353(a)(1)(iii) says can't park within an intersection and 3353(a)(2)(iii) says can't park within 20' of a crosswalk at an intersection but nothing that says can't park within 25' of an intersection.

There are no signs or painted curbs to indicate you can't park within 25' of the intersection. I do not live in the borough but I do drive there almost daily. Am I supposed to know this local borough law? I know, ignorance is no excuse. This intersection is near a church and people routinely park within 25' of the intersection on all 4 corners. So why did I get a ticket? The police administrator told me that a person anonymously complained to the police and they came out and wrote the ticket.

Do I have any defense or should I just pay the fine and chalk it up to experience?

Frequently this sort of thing is covered by a state law that says cities, towns, etc. can set their own ordinances. Look for something like that.
