meter number missing on ticket

in NYC, if I got an expired meter ticket and they didn't put in the meter number, can i fight the ticket on that?

You bet yer sweet patootie! Just make sure the meter number isn't written elsewhere on the ticket (sometimes they'll sneak it into a margin instead of the proper space).
