Multiple Tickets

I'm located in Illinois, and here's my question:

Last night I went rock climbing. When I got back I parked on the street. I parked in an area that is no parking 2am-9am, and 4pm-6pm. I didn't realize that and deserve to be ticketed for that. Not arguing that point. But, when I went to go climbing after class today I found three tickets on my car. I got ticketed at 2:15am, 8:15am, and again at 4:12pm. Now I can understand being ticketed, and I can even understand (though don't agree with) being ticketed in each of those times.

My question is are they allowed to ticket twice in that time period from 2am-9am?
Did they really expect that I would have moved it during that time and therefore thought it rediculous that I was parked there still?
Should I contest it?

If an officer was so inclined, he could keep writing ticket after ticket after ticket without ever leaving your vehicle, because with each second you're car is still there, it is a different instance of the violation.

What did they say when you called the phone number on the ticket?

In my city, ordinances state that citations can be issued for the same violation after 120 minutes.
