no parking signs posted but car was towed. help!!!

This past saturday my car was towed from a parking lot next to my apartment complex. there is no sign posted in front of the seven parking spaces where my car was parked. what should i do.​

Why was it towed?

Check the entrance to the parking lot - is there a sign that says cars can be towed?
