No Parking ticket!

What is the name of your state? California (san diego)

So i got a parking ticket today, but i dont think I should've been issued it. There was a 100', unpainted curb in a residential area. There was a no parking sign towards the latter portion of this 100' curb. Curbs that extend further forward continue to have no parking signs. Curbs behind this specific sign do not have 'no parking' signs. Thus signifying that this sign is the first one.

Are you allowed to park on this curb before the sign? I parked towards at least 20-30' from the sign on the side that doesn't have the continuing signs.
It was a no parking from 7a-7p unless you have a class 'E' permit kind of sing.

I'm used to no parking areas being painted red or having a start and end zone.

?!?!

Then take a photo of where you parked, of the signs before and after where you parked, and then contest the citation through the city.

Try: http://www.sandiego.gov/parkingmanagement/ for information on parking and how to contest your citation.
