obstructing traffic at intrersection


I was stuck in traffic behind me there was 3 other cars was there and ahead me there was 4 cars was there.Police officer try to stop the 4 cars none of them stop and i respect the officer and stop me car and he ask me mly driver ID and i gave before i say something he wrote down some stuff in his scanner and drop ticket. Even he try to stop other 3 car which was behind me but they did not stop because this was a not violation this trafic stuck because Big BUS was stuck in on the was on new york's small street.This is not right that i respect and stop my car and got ticket and other people not respect and not stop they got nothing. Even actual trafic was stuck by those 3 cars which was behind me.What should i do ????
please help me... it is $115 ticket but still for me it's too much....

you want out of the ticket because no one else was caught?

how do you know the officer didn't write the license plate numbers down and serve the ticket by mail to the other cars?

It wasn't a police officer who wrote you it was a traffic agent.

You can't use the "everyone else was doing it but only I got caught" defense. That does NOT work. Neither does the "big bus" excuse.

You CANNOT by law enter an intersection unless you can get through on the far side at the time of entry. Be more careful. It's call "blocking the box" or "spillback".

You're lucky you got a parking ticket. If a police officer wrote you it would have been a moving violation with a $120 fine and two points on your license.


You have no valid defense. You can try to fight it but you will lose, in all likelihood.
