Ohio parking violationWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio (Westchester, Area 3) Ord 4511.68 Situation: Was waiting in running vehicle for someone to come out of store. Flashers on to have people go around me. Waiting for one minute in running vehicle (still in driver seat). Police approach with lights on. Sited for 4511.68 (fire lane). Fire lane written on ground, "no parking" signs posted. Issues: Was "standing", not parking in compliance with signs. Fire lane not listed on Lawriter - ORC - 4511.68 Parking - prohibited acts. Citation states You operated/parked/walked... and has operated circled and not "parked" suggesting the officer knew I was not truly "parked". Do I have a leg to stand on if I take this to court? Police around here are ramping up these petty thing to try to get $ for the township. |

| Unless you can find a definition that differentiates between "standing" and "parking", then you were "parked" in violation of said signs.
