Pa Parking Ticket

Hey guys. I parked at an obvious broken meter in Philly last week. I wasn't sure of the rules in Philly, but I come back to find a ticket on my windshield. My car was at the broken meter, but it was one of those messy looking situations where there are two back to back meters and one car wasn't properly parked, so it messed up everyone else's space. ANYWAY, I just want to pay the stupid ticket, however i can't find the ticket. I go online, but there's no way to pay the ticket without the ticket number. I even tried the phone system to no avail. I just wanna pay this ticket before the 8 days runs out. How do I search for and pay the ticket without the ticket number?

Thanks

PS
I got my previous 115 ticket dismissed! The one where they put up no standing signs on my block while I was parked! It was funny because I had to bring evidence because the judge's computer wasn't showing him the records. I did the run around, and finally got a letter from the community board and dot stating when the old/new signs were in effect. I brought it to the ALJ and he said he'd give me the "benefit of the doubt" because the letter only states when the signs were in effect rather than when they were erected. I didn't get this because don't the signs go into effect the second they're erected? I decided to just keep my mouth shut and accept my dismissal. lolWhat is the name of your state?

Cool

What does this mean? Elucidate, please.

You should be able to look it up by the registration, once you get a person on the line.

I basically called the number that was posted on their site. It was an automated system that would only look up the ticket via its number.

I spoke to the Philly umm...Dot (whatever it's called), and the director looked in her system via my license and didn't see any tickets for me. I'm going to try the phone system again to see if I can get to a real live person.

wow

This situation is so retarded, it's not even funny. I just called the parking authority and spoke to customer care. They don't have records of the ticket either. What did I really expect when the director of the parking authority already told me she didn't see it in the computer. They just said wait till monday to see if its in the system by then. (!) A week? The lady was like, "you should have the ticket number." The director of the parking authority told me to call the beareu of judication or something like that. They don't seem to want to answer their phones over there or return messages. They really need a better system. I just want to pay a friggin ticket. It's really should not be this intricate.

Go in person and explain that you are paying for the ticket you received, regardless of whether or not it's in the system. Force the money on them, and make sure you keep the receipt.

I would, but I'm in NY. Thanks anyway. I guess I'll just have to let it accrue penalty charges until I go down to Philly next whenever. Whatever, I shoud have never parked there. Thanks anyway guys.

*thinks* At least I got that 115 ticket dismissed!
